Hammond Organ console RT3. Serial No 149910 Speaker Cabinet: Hammond PR40 serial No 143550 The Hammond RT3 was sold in the UK from 1955 to 1975 and was the 'concert' version of the B3 having an American Guild of Organists spec pedalboard (32 notes). This particular RT3 (1969 model) was originally in Canterbury Cathedral while the pipe organ was being restored. My father bought it second hand in Belfast, in 1973. When he moved into a bungalow it was transferred to me in Kent. In 2004 the RT3 itself was restored at a cost of £850. Included with the Organ are 2x data disk with details of work carried out. I have the original manual and lots of classical organ music such as the Bach Cantatas to be included in the sale. It does have a couple of minor issues, some crackling from the speakers (I'm told this could be dirty pins on a vacuum tube but the buyer will need to check this) and the Vibrato doesn't appear to function. Serious offers would be considered but I understand the value to be around £2,700. The purchaser needs to arrange their own transport from the London Area.
